Located in the cool, dry Sunbury region, we have been quietly crafting wines of elegance and balance since 1983. We aim to manage the land with care and respect, allowing the vines to express their own character as naturally as possible.

Wines are available from the cellar door daily, between 10am and 6pm.

Our wines can also be purchased from Dan Murphy's stores in Melbourne, leading boutique bottle shops, and tasted in many of Melbourne and Sydney's finest restaurants.

"Right on Melbourne's doorstep, just past the airport lies one of the jewels in the Sunbury crown. The wines can be decidedly fine and delicious. Chardonnay is complex and flavourful; Cabernet can be dense and dark and generously proportioned; there's Pinot Noir, Shiraz and the signature Dunalister, a delicious blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot." Ralph Kyte-Powell

2008 Shiraz

TASTING NOTES

The fruit for our 2008 Shiraz is sourced from our Ghorepani vineyard, an east facing block on well drained, fertile soils. This site, despite extremely limited rainfall, consistently yields intense, ripe shiraz fruit for which Sunbury is renowned.

Cellaring: 4-6 years
Cellar-door price: $35 per bottle

REVIEWS

"Lovely style. Cool and spicy, compact and nicely balanced. Flavours of plums, dried herbs, cedarwood and cherries. Very dry and savoury through the finish. Needs a bit more oomph but there's no doubting there's pleasure to be had here. Drink 2011-2015. 90/100"

- Gary Walsh, Big Red Wine Book 2010-11

"Solid red-purple colour; blackberry, licorice and spice aromas lead into a medium- to full-bodied palate that has an array of near identical flavours supported by ripe tannins and a twist of oak.

To: 2023. Rating:91"

- James Halliday, 2011 Australian Wine Companion
